June 27 - Love, Simon
"Love, Simon" is a coming-of-age romantic comedy about a high school senior named Simon Spier who is secretly gay. His life takes a complicated turn when an anonymous email exchange with another closeted classmate, "Blue," turns into a deep romantic connection. However, Simon's secret is accidentally discovered by a fellow student, Martin, who blackmails Simon into helping him get a date. This sets off a chain of events where Simon tries to navigate his complicated social life, figure out who "Blue" is, and ultimately find the courage to come out to his friends and family. The film explores themes of identity, self-acceptance, friendship, and the universal experience of first love, all within the context of a modern high school setting.

July 11 - The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert
"Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" is a vibrant and heartwarming Australian comedy-drama about two drag queens and a transgender woman who embark on a road trip across the Australian outback. They travel in a large, customized bus they affectionately name "Priscilla." Their journey is filled with flamboyant performances, stunning costumes, and unexpected encounters with a variety of colorful characters. Along the way, they confront prejudice, challenge societal norms, and ultimately strengthen their bonds of friendship, family, and self-acceptance, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the vast Australian landscape.

July 23 - The Birdcage
"The Birdcage" is a hilarious American comedy that centers on Armand Goldman, a gay cabaret owner in Miami's South Beach, and his flamboyant drag queen partner, Albert. Their unconventional, yet loving, life is thrown into hilarious chaos when Armand's son, Val, announces he's engaged to the daughter of a notoriously conservative U.S. Senator. To impress his future in-laws, Val convinces Armand to pretend to be straight and for Albert to disappear. What follows is a series of increasingly absurd attempts to create a "normal" family facade, leading to comedic misunderstandings, identity crises, and ultimately, a heartwarming message about love, family, and acceptance regardless of societal expectations.

"Milk" is a biographical film that chronicles the life of Harvey Milk, an openly gay activist and politician in 1970s San Francisco. The movie depicts Milk's journey from a New York businessman to a charismatic leader in the gay rights movement, his groundbreaking election to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors as one of the first openly gay public officials in the United States, and his passionate fight against discrimination. It highlights his efforts to unite the LGBTQ+ community and advocate for their rights, ultimately leading to his tragic assassination, which cemented his legacy as a martyr for equality.

August 21 - To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar
"To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar" is a vibrant and heartwarming comedy about three New York City drag queens – a sassy veteran, a glamorous, statuesque beauty, and their shy, aspiring protégé. After winning a major drag competition, the two veterans decide to embark on a cross-country road trip to Hollywood for a national pageant, bringing the younger queen along. When their vintage car breaks down in the sleepy, conservative town of Snyderville, Nebraska, they are forced to spend time with the locals. Through their dazzling personalities, resilience, and fabulous style, they inadvertently transform the lives of the town's inhabitants, bringing joy, self-acceptance, and a much-needed splash of color to the community before ultimately continuing their journey.
